God gave Jonah a mission and he ran the other way. The most important thing we can get in our life is our life’s mission.
God had told Jonah to go to Nineveh, which was the capital of Assyria. Jonah went the opposite direction. He gets in lots of trouble and causes lots of trouble for those with him.
Jonah is in great despair because he has been cast into the sea and swallowed by a big fish. In the depths of his despair, he prays a prayer. We need to remember that our sin affects others around us.
When the situation around you feels hopeless, we all hit this at some point in our lives and we need to know what to do, when you feel hopeless.
