Families Make A Difference
What Does God Say to Parents?
1-God Says Don’t Exasperate Your Children
-Unclear Boundaries
-Unpredictable Discipline
-Unbalanced Criticism
-Unreasonable Demands / Give them a reason why you want them to do what you’re asking them to do.
-Unspoken Expectations
-Undeserved or Unresolved Anger / Apologize when you take anger from other issues out on your family. Just say I’m sorry when it’s needed.
2-Discipline Your Children
3-God Says Nurture Your Children
-Nurture / To set up the right environment for growth.
When I’m nurturing my children,
A. Love is spelled lead! You should be the catalyst in your children’s life for Jesus.
B. Love is spelled pray! We should constantly be praying for our children and others.
C. Love is spelled grow! Grow with your children.
God Says To Us:
-Verbalize
-Memorize
-Visualize
4-He Says Have Compassion To Your Children
God wants us to be more compassionate people.
Parenting is planned uncertainty.
