The truth is you and I cannot control the circumstances we’re going to face this year. Things are going to happen that we have no control over. We do have some control over the decisions that we make in response to our circumstances. 


Jesus is saying that how we manage our things, our finances, our possessions, is like a magnet to our heart. Our heart will go in the direction of our treasure. What happens with our finances, deeply impacts our heart.
