“You’ve missed the whole effect” describes many of the people filling churches today. The Bible says, “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things are passed away, behold all things are become new.”
How can I know that I am truly saved?
We can mess up our walk with God and get our life off course but that does not affect our salvation. When you became saved, God says you are mine and nothing can remove you from my hands.
John outlined for us 3 tests to know true salvation.
1-THE COMMANDMENT TEST / If you are truly a Christian, you will chart your course and guide and govern your life according to God’s commandments.
2-THE COMPANION TEST / You love your brothers and sisters in Christ. We want to be with our fellow believers and enjoy the fellowship that comes from gathering together. Jesus makes it clear that attacking the church or its members is the same as attacking Him. Jesus reminds us that we are one with Him.
3-THE COMMITMENT TEST / The Hebrew word for believe is “Aman”. It signifies not just believing in the sense of accepting something as true, but also implies a strong sense of trust and being firmly established in that belief. Do you love your fellow Christians? Do you love the church? How are you showing it?
