Have you ever felt like the weight of the world is on your shoulders? You have stress in multiple areas of life: Family, Work, Church, and Health. The stresses add up and it feels emotionally like you have weight that is holding you down. Scripture has a promise from God for those of us who feel that way.
“The Lord lifts up those who are weighed down.” Psalm 146:8
Faith Strategies:
1. By Faith-You Step Out - When you don't know what's coming next, you have high stress. But the truth is, when we get frozen because of the unknown, we allow our fear, not our faith, to control our life and decisions.
A. We Have To Look at the first step and not the whole journey.
B. Focus On God and Not on Yourself.
2. By Faith-You Stay the Course - Faith is not just about learning how to get to the promised land. Faith is learning how to live in the promised land.
If you're going to live a life of faith, you're going to face two things again and again: not enough resources and too many obstacles/problems. You build your present on the foundations of the future.
3. By Faith-You Succeed!
3 ways that we react when we have to wait for God’s promises to be fulfilled in our lives.
A. I may have to settle for less.
B. I will have to get it myself!
C. I will choose to trust in God!.
Keep your heart and mind on those. Remember God’s faithfulness and TRUST in Him! He DOES NOT FAIL YOU!
4. By Faith-You Sacrifice - Notice first comes the success and out of that, comes a sacrifice that blesses you and others. The ultimate is not the success, but the sacrifice that always follows.
In order to live the life of faith and fully believe that God will provide requires you to receive Christ by faith.
