Did you ever feel like you were stuck in a rotation of temptation? You start with Good Intentions, Go to Failure, and Then to Guilt. All because of Persistent Temptation.
There is a gateway to freedom!
1-Predetermine the Pattern of Temptation
-When am I most tempted?
-Where am I most tempted?
-Who is with me when I am most tempted?
-What temporary benefits do I get when I give in?
-How do I feel right before I’m tempted? Are you frustrated, lonely, tired, unloved, depressed or bored?
We have to stop with short-term thinking. There are consequences for every decision you make.
2-Protect the Condition of Your Heart
3-Pray for God’s Help
HELP ME!! He will provide help for people who ask!
We fear judgment, but God offers forgiveness. We feel guilty, but God offers grace! When you go to him with your temptation, you find mercy!
4-When Tempted, Put Your Tempted, Put Your Attention in Another Direction
5-Have a Support Group
Get around people you trust and that trust you. Get people around you that encourage you, love you unconditionally, not judge you but hold you accountable.
