What happens when I join the family of God? When I join the church?

4 things that Jesus Gives us to Stay Connected:

1. It Connects Me to God’s Eternal Temple

-You Can’t Build It With Just One Part

-All The Parts Have To Fit Together

-A Part Is Useless until it’s Connected

-A Part can be inside of the House and still not be a Part of the House

The Benefit of Being Connected to a Local Church Family: I Get Support And Stability

2. It Connects Me To Christ’s Body.

I cannot Fulfill God’s Purpose for My Life by Myself.

The Benefit Of Being Connected: I Get Life And Growth

3. It Connects Me To The Power Of Jesus.

The Benefit To Being in God’s Church: “I Get God’s Power To Change!”

4. It Connects Me To God’s Family.

1 Timothy 3:15 if I am delayed, you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God’s household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.

Ephesians 1:22-23 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

Ephesians 4:25  therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.

Romans 12:4-5 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.

Colossians 2:19 they have lost connection with the head, from whom the whole body,

supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.

John 15:5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

John 15:4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Romans 8:16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.

1 Peter 2:17 Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor.

Colossians 3:14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

2 Corinthians 8:5 And they exceeded our expectations: They gave themselves first of all to the Lord, and then by the will of God also to us.
